@9:22 PM
I have decided to blog about my current Australia trip because of utmost boredom. :D Anyways, I'm staying here for 11 loooooong days to help my bro settle in before he starts studying med in Monash University. (I actually am helping by not helping though)
Aaaand the weather forecast today is: AIRCON. Pure, bliss aircon outside without the presence of aircons. Soooooo good. Hopefully tomorrow's sunny though, because this chilliness is giving me brain freeze everytime I breathe.
Arrived in Aussie early morning, like at 7am but unfortunately lost 3 hours. Plane ride was uneventful, apart from this weirdass movie I was watching called Black Swan. The genre stated was "Thriller" but I can't tell if its some kinda porn cum murder movie under the guise of an art movie. O: Things got reaaaally weird halfway and I got major weirded out lol so I stopped. Watch it guys. Watch it.
Staying over at my uncle's HUMONGOUS house. Most awesome part of the house is the carpeted interior because I dont need to walk awkwardly with my sweaty feet. :D Story of my life.
The buildings here are really eyecandy, seriously. They range from old bricked houses/ churches laced with pretty flowers, to sleeker modern commercial buildings, but they all have a solid, clean look. [TELL ME I SOUND LIKE AN ARCHITECT NOW] And the skyline is so flat and unjarring to the scenery because buildings are rarely 4 storeys high. Absolutely awesome.
We visited my bro's supposed accomodation at Robert's Hall, and after receiving a tour I was absolutely relieved because I wasn't going to study at Australia. Lol. Which means the living conditions were pretty sad, albeit still livable. Sharing a kitchen and toilet and fridge and whatnot with lots of other people seems really inconvenient O: Soooo we went to Monash Accomodations to find another place to rent, and the Singaporean landlord was the most captivating person I ever met lol. He spoke to us (actually, more like entertaining us) for like 2 hours and gave my bro a discounted price on a room plus a free bookshelf. His monologue ranged from his super cool goatee; one of the inhabitants who calls herself Lion King (abbreviated to LK somemore); his refusal to respond to Australians who call him Mr Fang instead of Mr Phang etcetc. When he saw my uncle, he was like "heyy you're an ozzie too right! I know because you dress as badly as me" Hahaha. Standard dress code there is apparantly very slack -- Just khakis and slippers. Then when he realised he shared the same haka dialect as my uncle, they were like, "Eh yong tau foo!" "Chin chai la!" and lots of random haka words. Lol. Most amusing, friendly, inspiring guy ever.
Then we went to Coles supermarket to buy Australian snacks to gouge on. Like rice crackers, cake pops, shapes, etcetc. And I swear, the stuff there is either really expensive or really cheap. Insane $15 for 2 kitkat bags. Unbelievable $2 per milk bottle. Crazy $3 for ONE sushi. AND LOOK:
$9 TOASTER? Is this even legal? O: It should be a crime to sell toasters this freaking cheap. Its like, oh hey I'll just buy this disposable toaster because I feel like having toast today then I'll throw it away after that. Insane.
All in all, super tiring day today. But looking forward to spending more than a week here! Especially with the grate weather and food omg.
