Hi. I'm really bored so I shall recount the insipid, vapid, innocuous details of my day. You don't have to read this because it really is as boring as it sounds. Are you bored by this intro paragraph yet?
SO yesterday night, I was wandering around my room and taking out stuff that I haven't touched in like
years and being nostalgic and reminiscing. Like I found presents that I never gave, cards I never kept properly and useless junk like earpieces that dont work anymore lol. And while I was digging around, BAM, I found 2 angbaos, with "Happy 17th birthday!" on both of them (shit man, that's 2 years ago). I expected them to be empty cos I'm the only kind of person who would keep empty angbaos for the sentimental value lol BUT NO, I FOUND $150, BOOYEAAAHHH. FREE MONEY YEEESSSS.
I decided to FINALLY buy a cruiser/ mini cruiser cos my skateboard wheels are so amazing BAD from the lack of maintenance (one of the wheel bearings got completely rusted over, and will never spin ever again). Plus I wanted something lighter/ compact to carry if I wanted to travel around. AND cruisers are just way more efficient while rolling just sayin. And also I pretty much gave up at doing tricks with a board that's too heavy for my weak legs to do shit lol noob.
Planned to get the LANDYATCHZ DINGHY (cos Joshua the longboard pro suggested so) in this ultra smexy design:
Value for money AND looks hella rad, this is like the perf cruiser.
Before going to LongboardLove I was trying to remember how "yatch" was pronounced so I could ask the shopkeeper if they had it in stock. Like was it "york" or "yak", and dude, do I pronounce it with the Z behind the word? LANDYATCHZ what the hell. Lol social anxiety 101.
Aaaand too bad cos when I went to the shop it was out of stock and could only be available next year Jan/Feb. And nuh uh honey I'm not gonna wait that long and rot more at home to wait next year lol. So I went off to pennisula's Spitfire shop. TOO BAD THEY didn't sell it either lol but went to see the other cruisers selling.
I wasn't digging the boards with bendy plastics (im looking at you, Penny and Globe boards) but one of the wood ones without the whole neon colour scheme (whats up with that anyway?) was just staring at me begging me to buy it.
It's a Powell Peralta Mini Ripper (awesome shit, who names these boards?) if you're not wondering lol, 24 inches, and THE ONLY ONE left selling lol. It's $80 cheaper than the Dinghy and seems worth the moolah so YUUSS I GOT IT. Board has a kicktail and a rather mellow concave, so looks like it might be able to withstand tricks too O: PLUS WOOTS the shopkeeper gave me a $10 discount so that was a bonus. (I'd be lying if I said this has nothing to do with me being a girl hohoho art of seduction)
Went for a test run later and shit man, cruisers are so much different from skateboards. Like its so freaking sensitive to where your weight is, so it can turn corners with just the slightest movement in your legs. O: VS my skateboard, where you gotta like force your whole weight over the edge to make it just turn a bit. (alright its just cos my trucks aren't loose...) Lol ok grate. Still really bad with the balance but I'll get there. :D
Ok thank you for reading my story, its okay if you don't understand shit I said LOL I just want to sound smart.
